Tonight we will be showing the DVD- ‘AWAKE’ –the inspirational life of Yoga Nanda. Paramhansa Yogananda was born into a devout Hindu family in Bengal in 1893. At the age of 17 he met his guru, Sri Yukteswar, & five years later he was accepted into a monastic swami order. Yogananda set up a Self Realization Fellowship in California where he wrote his classic text  - “Autobiography of a Yogi”

We all know an “eye for an eye” practised fanatically would make the whole world blind. What the world needs now more than ever before is love, forgiveness and inspirational conduct aimed at achieving peace and prosperity by mediation and consultation.
