In Sanskrit the word kala means both time and death. Death and ageing are no respecter of persons, since they do not discriminate, wise or fool, wealthy or poor. Solomon in his older years considers that he has laboured all of his life to live righteously and was blessed with great wisdom and wealth. He now questions how important it all was since ultimately there is no difference in the end between what happens to him or a fool or even a beast. They are all impacted upon by time, which ultimately results in the same outcome, death. In this presentation Russell will be exploring the concepts of death and time, through a theosophical lens, as depicted by the Hermit in the Marseille Tarot ***** library this evening ***** please remember to bring your books back for our November library audit. 5.15pm-6.30pm Study group - An Intuitive Approach to the Seven Stanzas of Dzyan7pm 13 short talks about the mystery of the number 13 and then 'open-mike' for any and every one who has something to share.
